Nursing Excellence Award on the occassion of World Nurses Day - TwinTech Healthcare Academy, Chennai,

TwinTech Healthcare Academy, Chennai,

Invites Nominations from Tamilnadu

Village Health Nurses for

Nursing Excellence Award

on the occassion of World Nurses Day

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are delighted to announce that TwinTech Healthcare Academy, based in Chennai, is now accepting nominations for the esteemed Nursing Excellence Awards. These awards are dedicated to recognizing the outstanding contributions of Village Health Nurses serving within the Health and Family Welfare Department of Tamil Nadu. This initiative is in honor of World Nurses Day, celebrated annually on May 12th.

The Nursing Excellence Awards seek to acknowledge the remarkable dedication and service of Village Health Nurses, whose tireless efforts are instrumental in safeguarding the health and well-being of our communities.

The Village Healthcare Nurses serve as the critical bridge between the government's Primary Health Centers (PHC) and the womenfolk in the village. The physical and psychological support and personal reassuring touch of the Village Healthcare Nurse begins right from the time a woman in the village conceives and continues harmoniously during the various stages of pregnancy to her successful delivery and postnatal care of the mother and ensuring that the newborn is immunized with all the statutory vaccinations according to the immunization schedule

Village Health Nurses became the frontline foot soldiers against Covid-19 as they marched from home to home under inhospitable weather conditions and rough terrain to reach out awareness, preventive and treatment to villagers and pregnant women, their role assumed specific significance because they serve the economically, socially backward groups with low awareness levels who can be persuaded only by personal counseling and building confidence and trust.

The VHN also became the key contributor to the success of the large scale vaccination against covid-19 in rural areas. we have decided to acknowledge, recognize and honour these great women who risked their own health and life and served their brothers and sisters with the Nursing Excellence Award.

Eligible nominees for these awards are Village Health Nurses with a commendable tenure of at least 10 years in service. A distinguished panel of experts will meticulously evaluate the nominations, with finalists to be announced by April 25th, 2024. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on May 5th, 2024, in the vibrant city of Chennai.

Nomination submissions are open until April 20th, 2024, at 5:00 PM.

For further information and to obtain nomination forms, interested parties may reach out via WhatsApp at 9710485295 or through email at mahali@mahali.in
